In this paper we present a brief review of the main issues surrounding the link between human and computational color constancy. Starting with the problem statement, it’s definition, main attributes and measuring methods, we introduce the computational color constancy problem and link it to its human equivalent. Finally we conclude that a new computational color constancy algorithm could be build by means of mimicking the functional stages of the human color constancy.
